Safe Harbor wants to provide a refuge for people struggling with domestic violence in their home. Victims and their children are welcome to come to us for help. We want to stop trying to normalize domestic violence, and we want to help people to recognize the signs before it can get any further. At Safe Harbor, we are looking to create a trusting community that educates and prevents domestic violence from happening.
We want to help create a community that no longer turns a blind eye to domestic violence. We want people to feel safe and secure in their relationships
We have to start with safefy first, then trust, mutual support, collaboration, empowerment, voice and choice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
This is the foundation to creating a community that victims can truly reside in.
And when your home was never built on these things, like trust and having your own voice, or things like feeling safe and supported never existed, it will take time to heal from that. Safe Harbor wants to help you through your journey. Which is why they are offering shelter, and counseling, groups, and so much other things like education.
